Katie M's Kitchen is a small, home-based, family business, named after our daughter, Katie May.
My husband, Craig, and I moved from the Boston, Massachusetts area to Vermont in August of 2003, after Craig accepted a job as an editor at Hemmings Motor News. I quit my job as an attorney and had dreams of opening my own little cafe, where I could serve fresh, homemade meals and baked goods to the residents of our new community and to hungry tourists traveling through the scenic Green Mountains. No sooner had we moved the last box into our new home, we discovered that our family was going to increase by one. My little cafe was put on hold but my desire to share my homemade creations with others was not.
I began by offering to make gift baskets for some friends who were perplexed as to what to give their relatives for Christmas. I realized that this was the perfect opportunity to satisfy my love for cooking while being able to produce these items from my home. And so Katie M's Kitchen was born.
We are dedicated to making the highest quality products by using the freshest ingredients and using local Vermont products. We hope you enjoy them!
